Nepean River Holiday Park

Located at the foothills of Sydney's Blue Mountains, the Nepean River Caravan park is a popular holiday spot and home to a number of permanent residents. When the park's management decided to refurbish camper amenities, saving water was high on the agenda.

The project

Upgrading the amenity blocks would give the holiday makers and tenants access to betterfacilities and reduce the amount of water being used. Thornthwaite's team met with the park management team to identify where water could be saved and also reduce the time required to maintain the new showers.

The solution

Thornthwaite recommended Rada Pulse, a sensor activated system that controls timed flow ofwater to up to ten outlets. The amenity block had ten showers, five located in both the men's and women's blocks. Rada Pulse was installed into the shower block, providing all ten showers with timed flow to encourage people to take shortershowers.

The customer also installed our Rada vandal resistant VR 105 showerhead. At just 8.5 l/min, the low flow rate showerhead would save water but still give the campers and residents a great shower. As a vandal resistant showerhead, the VR 105 is designed to be a hardy fixture, making it a great option for the park.
